Growing in Grace Capital Campaign CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND As of March 31, 2006, there is $62,525.51 in a Capital Improvement Fund. All undesignated memorials are deposited to the account with the intent that these monies will be used on building needs of Grace Baptist Church. Recommendations: 1. The roof on the 200 area, which is behind the Gym, is leaking and in need of immediate repair. The Physical Plant Director has checked on cost to repair and it can be done for a maximum cost of $31,000. This needs to go forward as quickly as possible. 2. Air Conditioning for the 200 area. The unit serving this area was installed in the former Church at least 50 years ago. The unit broke last summer and we were fortunate to be able to fix it. The estimated cost for a new unit is $20,000. The recommendation is to get permission to move forward with a new unit at the time the current unit ceases to work. This would minimize the effect on the children in the KDC. Summary: Utilize up to $31,000 for a new roof over the 200 area immediately and authorize the use of $20,000 for a new Air Conditioning System when the Physical Plant Director feels that the current unit is beyond repair. |
