Let Us Lift You Up
In a world plagued by sin and its consequences, The Prayer Ministry of Grace Baptist Church stands ready to uplift those with special needs. This is accomplished by the Prayer Chain Committee, or the volunteers in the Prayer Room or within the setting of The Prayer Chapel. Specific tasks of this ministry are carried out by men and women who love the Lord Jesus and are committed to pray for you. The Prayer Ministry, in addition to the prayers offered in classes and the worship service, provides intentional and specific prayer for needs on a confidential and personal basis.
 

The Prayer Room and Chapel
The Prayer Room, located behind the sanctuary, is an office equipped with a telephone and answering machine, a listing of each church member's name and address, and a current listing of prayer requests. It is here that trained volunteers pray for the needs presented and follow-up each with a card of encouragement.
The ambiance of The Prayer Chapel, located next to the Prayer Room, provides an inspirational setting for those who would spend time there in heart-felt intercession or for personal quiet time.

The Prayer Chain Committee
The Prayer Chain Committee, under the leadership of Clara Hinnant, consists of approximately 30 people. Upon being received, prayer requests are immediately and systematically channeled to each committee member for urgent prayer attention. (Imagine, at least 30 men and women uplifting you or your loved one in prayer.) These requests are forwarded to The Prayer Room and placed upon a master list for continual prayer.
